question about nightmare and berserk swords please help

their skills require them to go below 50% and etc but they are always at 100% to 90%, is that a bug? i used black zero, omega tested a few times, always impossible to make my energy go below.
Did i miss something? please help

In order to meaningfully lose energy, you have to be spamming the dash attack on a level that in the original games was a bug.
