After the first purple orb pickup, flames cover the whole screen every few seconds, doing massive damage. Is there some way to avoid it these?

I used Cinnamon and healed/shielded through it

You could always use S-hunter X. Max his rank out and unlock all his skills, he'll gain temporary invincibility whenever he takes an instance of damage.

Next Dive X is also an option. He gets invincibility whenever you use an ability if he's max-ranked.

you're SUPPOSED to either hide behind the red metal thing (crouch behind it) or jump on it and stay latched on for the duration of the fire stream. basically its hide behind the red metal. when the flames start coming, you run for cover quickly.

Dang, I was hoping it wasn't a Gacha design "Feature" like that. If I had been playing the P2W version when I hit a level like that, I would have quit and left them a 1-star review for obvious "Buy a specific character to continue" bullcrap. I've done it before (Guardian Tales, I'm looking at you)

I guess I'll unlock Cinnamon, then.

Tried it again, it works, thanks.

It seemed like I had to be touching it if the red wall was up or crouched if the red wall was low, and it does nothing visually to indicate anything but damage is happening, but the numbers stopped

I was a little late on the second set, because I missed the jump but this should show you how to do it for the most part. The first one was a clean example

This section is bs in the original game (Mega Man X5) too. The only difference is that there's no Alia to tell you how to hid from the lava this time - ironic, lol .

Easy. Just use Gaea Armor X and you are good to go

Use a character that has healing abilities... i use Iris or Ciel. But Cinnamon, Zero (Megaman Zero) Roll, Servbots etc can heal too.

...does anyone but me do the section the way it was intended to be done? It sounds like literally everyone else brute forces this section

i use 3rd armor x. he can do 3 jumps and has invincible shield for 2 seconds

I actually found out and did it the right way without cheesing it as I was using Leviathan so I had no heal or shields, never occured to me to cheese it with heal and shields or cinnamon
