How the heck do you do 23-4 Challenge <300 seconds?!
This thing has so much HP and I feel like with the current setup I have, there's no way to do the damage any faster. What's the "correct" build for beating challenge mode bosses with lots of health of iframes fast?

The thing to keep in mind with challenge mode is that your stats don't matter, but bonuses do, such as percentage increases to damage dealt and whatnot.

Character/weapon abilities, cards, and chips often provide status effect interactions, which in turn produce multipliers to damage output. Note that you can apply things like immobilize or slow to bosses for the purposes of increasing damage output from skill interactions, but those status effects won't actually alter most boss behavior or speed.

Of course, if you're in 23-4 challenge mode, that means you have potential access to Next Dive Armor X, Miracle Blade, and Ultimate Blaster, which is pretty much how you assemble the "I Win" button.

I haven't gathered enough event tickets to get Next Dive Armor yet, and I have those two weapons, but am being stingy with my EM because it's so tough to come by vs Zenny, and not sure which stuff is worth spending it. >_< But yeah, I can work on getting those 3 things maxed for this challenge mode stuff.

Yeah, so I pretty much just used Gangsta Girl Eratoeir, the Deconstructor, the Fighting is Justice card (for the 10% close range damage boost), and a ViA chip to eat through all the bosses in the last chapter's challenge mode.

Just spammed abilities and stand next to bosses holding down the attack button, for the most part. The Deconstuctor has an ability that allows it to shoot 5 shots at a time for 2 energy each in a wide spread, for a shot period. Meaning that if you just sit next to enemies during that period, you shoot them for 5x the damage for 2x the ammo. Plus doing defense down on the enemy, plus bonus damage from the ViA chip, plus 10% extra damage for being in close range with the card.

Haven't bothered checking the Deconstuctor vs the Ultimate Blast, honestly, because if I want to use an OP weapon. having one with a bunch of spread allows me to be even more lazy about distance and aim (missing due to projectile travel time is a thing, after all).

The only thing you need to watch out for at all, with this setup during the last chapter challenge mode, is being caught by the last boss combo at the wrong time, but even then, that probably won't outright kill you, and you can heal back anyway.

I use this version X with spam skill for 99% shield all time. Even when hp reduce 50% below you become more tanky, dmg deal heavier

Next Dive Armor X + Miracle Blade + Ultimate Buster, everyone full stars and DNA, also hidden skills.

Then add two Elite Hunter cards, one with 5 stars, the other with anything EXCEPT 5 stars (so they stack) and add a X memories card.

Now spam the buster / blade + your skills into it.

I simply used Celebration Rico with Ultimate Blast, Miracle blade and all 3 of the X Dive anniversary cards from the event shop, cleared it quick, easy and with no problems

I also tried roll.exe with exclusive card and deconstructor with Freezing Dominator (this was harder than it needed to be) but also got the job done under the 3min mark as I played around with it, lots of combos you can try for sure but take any of these into consideration if you want.

Hmm.... I though 23-4 Challenge was going to be more annoying to beat it under 300 second. I guest went overboard using Dive Armor Iris and using Miracle Blade.

So I end up down grade my character to S rank Zero/using my old card set up and still using Miracle Blade only. No hand gun. I was able to clear by spam pizza cutter tactic(You know that thing that player spam like wheel saw in PVP).
I used ViA squared for my challenge mode boss fights with the Ultimate Buster and Miracle Blade. I don't recall the cards I used but I think it was the cards from Attack of the Thugs, the Bridal event and Godkarmachine O Inary. The first two at 5 star and the last at 0 star. Prior to it, 23-2 caused me more trouble being unbeatable until I used ViA squared.
So I was wondering why I was still getting stomped in early challenge modes. Seems I should at least complete all of normal first, then invest in characters I actually don't have access to yet. Plus I'm only around level 108. Had no idea it went up to 200.. Might explain why Challenge Mode Magma Dragoon was no selling a lot of my hits.

As stated before, level doesn't really matter in Challenge Mode content aside from one key factor--level acts as a cap for upgrading character skills, which work off of a percentile from weapon damage.

In Normal, you want stats. In Challenge, you want bonuses (percentages) and functions (boosts, shields, status effect synergies, etc). This means skills, cards, and some chip effects. That all said, the better weapons and characters deal far more base damage than the earlier stuff like B, A, and first-year S-Ranks.

Ah, gotcha. And thanks.
