Character/weapon abilities, cards, and chips often provide status effect interactions, which in turn produce multipliers to damage output. Note that you can apply things like immobilize or slow to bosses for the purposes of increasing damage output from skill interactions, but those status effects won't actually alter most boss behavior or speed.
Of course, if you're in 23-4 challenge mode, that means you have potential access to Next Dive Armor X, Miracle Blade, and Ultimate Blaster, which is pretty much how you assemble the "I Win" button.
Just spammed abilities and stand next to bosses holding down the attack button, for the most part. The Deconstuctor has an ability that allows it to shoot 5 shots at a time for 2 energy each in a wide spread, for a shot period. Meaning that if you just sit next to enemies during that period, you shoot them for 5x the damage for 2x the ammo. Plus doing defense down on the enemy, plus bonus damage from the ViA chip, plus 10% extra damage for being in close range with the card.
Haven't bothered checking the Deconstuctor vs the Ultimate Blast, honestly, because if I want to use an OP weapon. having one with a bunch of spread allows me to be even more lazy about distance and aim (missing due to projectile travel time is a thing, after all).
The only thing you need to watch out for at all, with this setup during the last chapter challenge mode, is being caught by the last boss combo at the wrong time, but even then, that probably won't outright kill you, and you can heal back anyway.

Then add two Elite Hunter cards, one with 5 stars, the other with anything EXCEPT 5 stars (so they stack) and add a X memories card.
Now spam the buster / blade + your skills into it.
I also tried roll.exe with exclusive card and deconstructor with Freezing Dominator (this was harder than it needed to be) but also got the job done under the 3min mark as I played around with it, lots of combos you can try for sure but take any of these into consideration if you want.
So I end up down grade my character to S rank Zero/using my old card set up and still using Miracle Blade only. No hand gun. I was able to clear by spam pizza cutter tactic(You know that thing that player spam like wheel saw in PVP).
In Normal, you want stats. In Challenge, you want bonuses (percentages) and functions (boosts, shields, status effect synergies, etc). This means skills, cards, and some chip effects. That all said, the better weapons and characters deal far more base damage than the earlier stuff like B, A, and first-year S-Ranks.
