How many approx. hours worth of fun?
Hey, megafans.
I'm over 40 yo, old-time fan of Megaman since the very first. But I never played the online version of this.

I'd like to know approximately how many hours of fun do you think this offline version can rock (no pun intended) if you try to collect most or all characters, level many of them up, get most/all buffs, items, powers etc.

Thanks! And have fun!

50 hours is what producer said. story more on normal + some other mixed content here n there is probs about 10-12 hours then jakob's elevator & doing stuff on challenge mode and other bonus/seasonal/special stages will make it as replayable as you want. if you're really into X you could probably have hundreds of hours of enjoyment

A dev said in an interview that it's around 50 hours of playing to unlock everything and max it out

I'm 4 hours in and having fun. The fact that it's a singleplayer formerly gacha game makes this very satisfying to play. I could max out characters already, I think, but I feel like it would be a little too easy if I did that. The normal stages are already easy to breeze through. The challenge stages are a bit more challenging tho, which is good. So far, it is still nowhere near as tough as older Mega Man games

The reward system is very generous

I can see myself playing through it all, mostly as a way to relax and max out all the cool characters. I am not very far in yet, so I can't say much about the mid/late game. There are events and other things as well that I have yet to try out

Thank you both! This seems cool and worthy! :- )

Old school Mega Man fan here since the days of ugly U.S. box art and the fussy frontloader console:

It's different, but it's (mostly) good. The worst part would be the narrative, which is bog-standard shounen/shoujo garbage dubiously localized. Also, swimsuit versions of characters because waifu collectors need their fix.

Other than that, it's pretty fun, so I recommend it.

I swear some of the text looks like the result of just a single pass through Google Translate.

I'm 6.2 hours in right now and I'm level 50, a task that would have taken me several agonizing months in the "free" to play version. I already have most of the characters I care about unlocking, several of them at star rank 5, and I've been enjoying my time immensely. Experiencing this version of the game after being subjected to the previous version's horrible grind and gacha is incredibly cathartic and in general feels like how the game always should have been to begin with.

In the future, I would like similar games to just release with up front price tags like this to begin with and continue support via both free updates (stuff like new characters) and paid DLC (Full story expansions with new levels, enemies, bosses, etc,). If this game is proving anything, it's that more traditional payment methods of accessing games make for much more enjoyable experiences. Now I can finally sink hours of gameplay into this and not feel like I've wasted my time.

I find it... not possible to max everything out in 50 hours, you will maybe have like 20 or so maxed characters by then at the rate the game's progressing for me i think... then the rest you can unlock through doing challenges/events/etc over a very long period of time. of course, that assumes you want to play more than like 20 characters i guess lol.

oh fyi, i'm level 60 and those events have like a 300k power level requirement so you gotta level a bit more after you unlock those before u can do event stuff
