Now if you're wondering about the story, from what I've seen, it's a new story. An all-new original story with hundreds of stages to enjoy. Immerse yourself in a new Mega Man story that can only be experienced in Mega Man X DiVE. Blast and blast your way through hundreds of stages spanning multiple difficulty levels!
Keep in mind that this is not a mainline Mega Man X title, it's a non-canon spinoff with various crossover elements. There are over 100 characters to unlock and play as, all having access to the same equipment and basic playstyle but each having unique skill attacks that set them apart from each other.
This version of the game's benefits are that it's just an upfront price with everything being available to unlock through simple in-game progression (the mobile version's gacha elements were removed) and once you have the game installed it will always be playable without need of an internet connection.
The downsides are that some controversial multiplayer modes were removed, as well as several collab characters themed around Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, and Devil May Cry.
Another thing to keep in mind is that there are plans in the community to develop mods and a save editor for the game. In particular, fans are planning on modding the removed characters back into the game.
If you are still feeling unsure, you could purchase the game and try it out when it releases, and then if it's not really your thing you could simply just refund within the window of 2 hours of gameplay and/or 2 weeks of ownership.
As for the game itself, I think it's not pure Megaman due to the auto locking features and removing of the instant death on pits and spikes (you take damage instead). The story is about some kind of data corruption in the mega man games, and you as an outside user being allowed to use mega man characters to repair it. So it's not anything even closely related to the mainline stories, or any in world story at all, which is kind of a disappointment.
But what about the Holiday Themes and Dives Armors will they be feature in the offline game ????
Really well that good to hear 😃😃 it is a shame that the special crossovers won’t be included in the game, but the holidays themed characters and DiVE armor characters will be included in the game but i still wonder 💭 how will the characters be unlocked will they be available for the start or do they need to be unlocked by doing missions in the game 🤔🤔 do you know any info on this????
I don't know what the starter stuff is going to be, but I assume you'll start off the game with only the default X character with the default starter gear.
Well Now you are Talking 😃😃😆😆 this game will be interesting to play, from what I’ve seen on the trailer in the store page there are a lot characters to unlock lots of interesting stages but no gacha system and no in-app purchases using real money, some of the new features are very interesting I hope more info will be available soon because this game looks more interesting than the original one (no offence).
