white screen during load

My most common issue is that the game screen turns white during load in some sort of soft lock. If I close the game and come back, it's where I ended the previous play session without any offline progress or Petra.

I have tried the pinned post and restoring from backup, but it doesn't make my offline progress calculate.

Is this a known issue? It's about 50/50 when I load the game.

First of all, recovering from a backup will not recover "offline production" (otherwise it will be easily exploited)

As to the white screen issue, it seems to be related to certain GPU driver issues. It seems to happen to a relatively small amount of players. As I cannot reproduce it myself, it's very hard for me to look into this.

It only seems to happen for me on startup. The game otherwise runs fine if it gets past the loading.

I have an RTX 4090 GPU with the most recent drivers and it happened this morning.

I'll try just waiting 10 minutes or so to make sure that it's actually calculating offline production in the background (if it hasn't frozen completely) and then restart.

I left it in this state for 10 or more minutes and I didn't have any evidence that offline had been processed nor did I have any Petra points. It doesn't appear to be the same as this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2181940/discussions/0/6761669877509277297/

I can't do anything. During loading, the whole screen turns white and I can't interact with anything. I'll email you the log like you suggested to the other person in that thread.
