Funcom sucks -- DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!!!!!!
They make it so damn difficult to play the game and register an account. Or add the game to an existing account.

:missing: I had a several years old funcom account and had no issues connecting it to steam or downloading the the new free to play game OR making a NEW steam account for funcom. Expect a few glitches along the way, but that's AOC for you... :missing:

Hahaha, "glitches". I haven't even played the game yet. Because it won't let me. Some glitch.

:demoneye: Sounds like you have an EPIC glitch!

Sorry to hear that, I have also had trouble loading the game in many forms, and it took vast patience to make it to the point where it was playable. So I am certainly not trying to deny the presence of MASSIVE technical problems with this game. I was simply sharing my experience with the registration aspects with Funcom, as the OP seems to have had a terrible time of it and on the flip side some of us haven't.

I wish everyone tons of luck trying to load up this game though! It is a mighty picky beast for sure...

Funcom? Glitches? You mean the people who launched such bug free games as AO, AoC and TSW? Never

But I was able to link my old acct for all 3 together. Did take a few hoops and some emails though.

Didn't have any issue linking accounts and playing the game here. You just ran into a bug, it happens in the gaming/software world.

I had similar issues with trying to connect this game to an existing account. after two emails expalining my issue in detail, i was sent form letters that didn't address my problem at all. it was easier to just create a whole new account.

then the real "fun" began. frequent disconnects and broken quests. not to mention being forced to play this "MMO" as a single player for the first several hours.

the only reason to play this game is if any other games you want to play are down for maintenance.
