- Cool game idea, in general. I like it.
- Great music.
- Awful (sorry, it's my opinion) visuals. I think making it more visual appealing before release would be worth it. More people would click on it, see a video, try the demo... Instead of just skipping into the next game.
Great music
Lovely concept
Very interesting gameplay
the problems I have having is the you cant see the stats of what you have.
So when i am playing 3 +2% damage cards and the damage is the same as it was before whats the point.
I feel like i am wasting my time getting frustrated because they are not doing what they should be.
I also feel that there needs to be better balance. I found the towers are very lack luster with always being on but do no damage and the targeting on them is the dumbest thing ever. They dont target what I feel I want them to they lock on to one random target and will fire at them until its dead, they dont move around like they should.
The garrison does way more damage but they take time to spawn and they ran off leaving you open to attack.
With only 2 slots your cant really work around it is. I have found the best combo being the Hellfire and snipers.
You can hit escape and see all of your stats on the right side.
- Easy to learn
- Good music
- Rather fun gameplay loop
Cons.
- Currently very unbalanced.
- - Duplicating Shiv is by far the best level 5 item. Holy Moly and Hell Flame feel just super bad in comparison
- - One Man army is broken as hell.
- - Due to One Man Army, Garrisons are the only real way to get very far.
- - Only unholy can crit, making it scale far better.
- - Reload + Draw 2 leads to infinite resources
- Somewhat buggy. It is a demo, so the level of bugs is acceptable so far, but still a con.
- Range feels like a negative. Getting more range feels like it just makes things worse, cause towers just spazz out.
I think you're taking it the other way around. Garrisons are the only thing actually dealing any damage. Towers suck real bad, the only one that can deal anything is the hellfire one. Even 4 towers would not go as far as 4 snipers.
So, Unholy can crit, but it's gimped by the fact that it has a very very bad tower and the worse garisson. As expected, Snipers are by far the best unit at the moment.
I'll add :
- both damage spells are totally useless. But curse it totally broken, it allows for nearly infinite runs, the only wave that can kill you once you have leveled up your curse a little bit is the bat circle wave because it's the only thing that can inflict you 1000 damage straight.
Why does crit chance not apply to guns of gods?
Why does aoe not apply to sunder tower?
Why does tower attack speed not apply to the judgement tower?
- sunders also dont get any benefits from "+ tower damage" and, possibly, speed: i had 2 tier 5 sunders with 147% hellfire damage and 145% tower damage and sunders did only 53 damage/tick. I assume that is because "tower damage" stat is actually called "tower projectile damage" (you can see it on some cards) and Sunders dont have projectiles.
- this one probably needs "tower projectile speed" stat that isnt yet implemented(?) because judgement tower doesnt really attack. Also "tower damage" doesnt work on Judgemet too (blue tower did base 30(x4) damage with 114% tower damage).
P.S. I crashed at about 1:09:57 on a one-man-army (x3) guns-of-gods run with 3 shivs.
P.P.S. i wish boss stat rewards were multiplicative but toned down to something like x1.25 (25%).
