Might just be unable to fill all positions in that selection with unique cards that aren't banished. This freeze is not specific to endless however, it can happen before you reach endless.
beat the crap out of the game for 4 hours in over 250K kills (i dunno wouldnt stop raising)
when it just gray screen stopped responding...
was forced to brute force stop the game, got no rewards except the one step for beating torment.... not going into endless anymore... ever. and I need to go cry a little bit
Did start to worry about the game falling over at some point.. but my run abruptly ended due to another issue.
I guess having the autosave from this new patch helps.. but isn't really much solace to losing a multi-hour endless run due to technical issues.
Adding in a hotfix yesterday but there is nothing except it stating there is a way to get back to "in the folder" which is not to be found.
They need to have endless be a loop back to the first stage, but the difficulty of the enemies goes up. Then you run the entire set of stages up to the end and restart again, and it keeps track of the number of times you replay the loop. Every time, the enemies get more health, move faster, spawn more difficult enemies, whatever. If your engine can't handle the infinite upward count of all the weapons and abilities and enemies, why is that even in the game? Obviously you need to limit the number of enemies and effects on screen if it is causing the game to go into flip-book mode.
