Torment IV impossible without early Nuke
I have been struggling with the early stages of Torment IV for hours on end. I've attempted it with Gilbo Gibbins and streamer, and I am slowly losing interest in the game overall. I found Torment I and II relatively easy and I got lucky by getting Nuke early in Torment III, but I'm finding IV to be virtually impossible without finding the card.
Don't get me wrong, I do love a challenge. I just can't imagine any possibility of winning without finding the Nuke card.
If you have completed Torment III or IV I'd love to hear your strategy, because I must be doing something wrong.

I beat Torments I-V with John Fenriz, since that extra structure space let me pick up more upgrades, and being able to store stuff is just useful. The specific build I ran was Judgement Towers and Sin Spotters. Usually, I prioritized attack speed, damage, and range first. Obviously, you also want pierce at least once and Living Shadow. The Judgements are great for crowd control, and sin spotters should be the ones carrying you past heresy.

I finished Torment V with 5 of the Characters and never used Nuke once (I had to look it up, but will give it a try in the future).
Gilbo, Fenriz and the last Character are by far the easiest.

IV and V play different than the lower Torments. You have to priorities:
tower upgrade >pure damage >>> cards that boost your damage AOE/attack speed/...>>> everything else
Mainly (but not always) Luck and Crit will lose you the game.

I just want to point out this post got me through all five torment difficulties. Judgement is kinda ridiculous and is really easy to build for. I used it and the one that curses enemies to outheal any damage i'd take.

Prioritize attack speed, AOE and Projectile speed, damage in torment 3+ and only merge your towers when you have enough judgements to cover most of the area. And ALWAYS aim for Living Shadows when getting Tier 5 cards. Ideally you'll have a completely impenetrable wall of death by like circle 5 or 6 or at least do enough to outheal any damage until you can get to that point. You only need one of the curse towers, the rest should be judgements.

Wouldn't be nearly as annoying if there was a restart function, kind of tedious when you get shafted by rng and then you have to click through like 10 times to get back into a run.

Finally managed to survive Torment 4. Quick summary (I won't call it a guide because it must've been luck): start with Sin Spotter and Judgement. Active rolled at start: holy beam. Sac all T2 cards in first hand to get lucky with Elementalist. Got projectile pierce and reshuffle a little bit later. Pretty much the whole gameplan was: upgrade towers (1 golden Sin Spotter, aalways max Judgement, merge only to play new Judgement, never burn the starting T2 Judgement), increase damage (Elementalist for +40%), play pierce when possible. Get a lot of actives. Midgame I found Aces High and Dark Marker, upgraded it to golden and that heal saved me 1234 times. Later got Monkey Brain to get even more damage. No Nuke, no Living Shadow (LS would be powerful). Final stats: 1100% tower damage, 750% garrison damage (had the summoning active), pierce 250%, attack speed 200%, holy dmg 210%, unholy dmg 220%, crit% 83%, active recharge 270%.
I'm pretty sure Dark Marker (and luck) was the key piece for survival - my HP was jumping from full to middle to full like crazy.
