I've a friend here in Rio who works in the gaming industry.
He said he knows the folks that ran Critical Studio and that they closed shop because "it's incredibly hard to be a game dev in Brazil". Then promised to tell me all about it the next time we met.

Fast forward a few years, the pandemic is over and I start seeing him again.
He proceeds to get absolutely SMASHED every single time, invariably ending in a drunk stupor.

I'm still trying to decide if this is sorta a tacit confirmation of what he said. 😐
