Dungeonland servers closing April 18th
On April 18th our contract for the servers hosting Dungeonland will expire and we will not be renewing it. That means that online games will no longer be possible but LAN should still work.
Anyone that has the game in their library will keep it.

We understand that this is frustrating news for you and we want to thank you for your interest and dedication to the game. Unfortunately it didn't work out quite as well as we hoped and we are now a point where keeping it up and running is no longer feasible.

Oh, and just as a pre-emptive answer to any and all questions of this kind:
We will not be offering refunds nor compensation for this decision.

Sad to hear, but even in the current state no one seems to be able to play online or lan anyways.
Could you at least adapt the steam achievements as a last effort ? I mean just delete/remove the achievements that are impossible to unlock, so me and other players could get their 100% ?

Unfortunately multiplayer dosen't work.

Just an FYI, after doing some extensive testing on past versions and the current version, playing via LAN does not work. It always seeks the matchmaking server which it could not find. We tried using Tunngle but it does not seem to matter.

It's not like multiplayer has worked for the last 2 years anyway.

If steam had offered refunds for the "all access pass" I would have done it already.

EDIT: Oh wait... YOU CAN REQUEST A REFUND NOW....
And I just did.

For reference:
Click the small copy of your user name in the top right corner of the steam ui,
click account details,
click the "view purchase history" link,
scroll down the list and look for dungeon land,
click "request refund"...

Steam may not award the refund, but at the very least this sends a message.

Not really an issue as online play was almost impossible most of the time anyway. A waste of money really, all told, on a game that never worked properly for me.

I wish you better luck with your next project.

mostly impossible, that doesnt sound right as many of us rarely had problems jumping into the online modes.
i still hear an handful which had problems, but im unsure if that was actually the game being at fault or if it was computer side issuie.
since firewalls can block connections.

i mention this as i use to play online mode an bit with friends, and rocked DM mode at times which was pretty fun watching actual players go up against ur own monsters.
but alas thats done and over, stinks if some of you didnt get to try online mode as in getting it working properly, as i know that happens to some in various games sadly :crykit:

I could hardly ever host. The game had serious problems with NAT traversal.

thats sad :/ i tended to be the host i think when playing matchs, its sad to hear further that it didnt work for everyone, more sad that it never got fixed for those it didnt work for.

Yeah. I was able to join other peoples games most of time but only ever managed to host one once or twice and eventually gave up on it.

I hope the programmers learned something along the way.

hopefully, it was an fun game, sad when the latest update truely broke the all access pass.
but as you said hopefully they learned from this and hopefully they build there skills further along to were this never happens again.

i recall awhile back an glitch when developers would remove achivements from an list
not sure if steam still has that issuie
as for the issuie, it messed with users achivement lists

also if the achivements which arent gainable are removed, then whats said for the ones who gained them before?

there is an solution to this problem, if you own the all access pass
you can download an older version of the game before the final update which broke the all access pass
as for the ID to that earlier update and how to get your steam client to download the older one
thats something which has to be researched into, as ive no idea the specific id for the games old update.
but it should work as someone mentioned it awhile ago.
