Mac - Logitech Wireless Rumblepad 2 not working at all

Can anyone help me with this. I don't want to revert to enJoy or some third party keyboard mapper if possible. The Rumblepad works with many games, and Big Picture OOTB, but Runner2 has no idea it exists.

I don't mind getting my hands dirty with config files etc., but I really need to know where to start.

Same for me on GNU Linux with the same gamepad - runner 2 doesn't recognize it.
