difficulty level compared to first game
how is this game's difficulty compared to the first. I really liked its mechanics but it quickly got frustrating to the point where i just stopped playing and never went back.

Both are not your regular walk in the park game but at least this game has an easy difficulty for you casuals and optional checkpoints to hold your hands.

This game is much easier than BIT.TRIP RUNNER, a lot of levels can be cleared on the first try. There are also checkpoints you can use in case you need that extra safety-net. If you're against checkpoints/want a challenge/want a Hi-Score, then you can skip over the checkpoints for a radical point bonus.
The game does get harder towards the end (still not as hard as the end of World 3 in RUNNER), but there's no cheap tactics such as timing a Spingboard for maximum distance or jumping early off a step to get that one gold bar tucked in the corner.

I loved the hard difficulty of all the BIT.TRIP games, but the level Runner2 achieves is just right to avoid anger while still not being a cake-run. If you're scared of it being too hard, don't be! Download it & prepare to fall in love!

The difficulty here is very well balanced, you can complete the game in easy to train yourself and then go back to increase it. It can sometimes be very hard to get all the coins and do the maximum score, so this game is perfect for both casuals and hardcore gamers.
As xalugami says, prepare to fall in love!

The difficulty in this game is flexible. If you want maximum hardcore - try to use dance move every time u have a chance, get all gold and maximize all ramps. Compared to the first Runner - this one harder on Perfect+. And as said above - there is easy mode just to have a little trip in da nice forest.

definitely not as hard as the first. I loved the first one and was instantly turned off by this game when i saw screensots a couple months ago. yesterday i was bored and decided to give it a try.

this game is amazing. productions values are through the roof compared to the first game. tons of unlockables and different routes to take through the levels, which is awesome (even though they are obvious with signs and what not). The difficulty is scalable, so I wouldnt worry too much about it.

I really enjoy the way they setup the difficulty because you make your own difficulty. If you want to go for the high score, it becomes insanely difficult to fit in dance moves everywhere while still getting 100% and skipping the check point. If you don't care about score you can adjust the way you play and make it easier/harder.

If you take every checkpoints and play easy or medium, it's much easier than the first.
If you don't take checkpoints, "dance" everytime you can in order to have more points, want the perfect+ and play in Hard mode, it's barely harder than the first !

this game is a lot easier than runner imo, but that doesn't make it a bad game

still really fun to play, and it's refreshing with the style change they took with it

i'm just happy there's another bit.trip game to waste time on
