No Logitech F710 support [Linux]

So yeah, my gamepad works in other games and also in Steam Big Picture, but this game doesn't seem to recognize it. I can use QJoyPad to map keyboard keys to my gamepad and it works that way... but really, is that the best I got?

I don't know why the devs haven't fixed this... I even sent an email to de support email inbox but no reply.

Thanks for posting the problem report and the workaround links. I was just about to buy Runner2.

I'm capable of patching the executable to look for "Generic X-Box pad" instead of "Xbox 360 Wireless", but after thinking about it for a few seconds, I've decided that I don't want to give my money to a developer who whose code fails because of a hard-coded device description string that they can't be bothered to fix even after a year of complaints. That is a foolish coding decision compounded by miserable support.

No thanks. I'll give my money to someone else.

If they eventually do fix this problem, would someone be so kind as to post here?

Sure, don't worry. If this gets fixed, we will give you a shout. However, I would rather say, do not give the money to a dev who doesn't care about at least 3 forum threads plus a support e-mail which never got answered...

For anyone having issues getting their gamepads to work with the game, switch it to the beta version. I tested both a Logitech F310 and a Switch Pro controller, and they both work for me in the beta (Using Steam Input, btw).
