There's unsurprisingly no controller support, but I am playing on controller using Steam Input. I'll post that config when I have some more time with the game to get it feeling appropriate, but the game is readily playable with mouse region RS for aiming and a shift button to get enough attacks.
Also, I've gotten at least one ability/skill in a run that functioned as a parry, and one of the metaprogression nodes I've translated gives you what appears to be a fraction of a second invulnerability on normal attack with a damage bonus for timing to the enemy attack, so there is some skill-based counterplay available in the game design, and not simply projecting pretty colored damage at enemies.
