Switch version abandoned?

My daughter and I like to play the game together, her on her switch, and me on my SD. We like comparing our final builds, but she's frustrated that I've been getting dailies and more updates and features that she hasn't gotten.

I understand that there's more hoops to jump through for Nintendo's e shop, but is there an update on when her version will get updated?
