Having the same problem here.
Worked at the beginning, then after restarting the game the controller doesn't work. Sad.

Same. I can see on https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad that my xbox controller is sending input, but the game doesn't register it

Hmmm. Unable to reproduce this- is your controller working with other Steam games?

try turning off any steam input stuff? i can do this to lots of games
