It is not possible to remove the Player Character's mask. A few people have seen under the mask and let's just say we've seen some, Shimu.

The game is great and I am playing it already, so I hope for a removal option and a character Editor later (including a male Protagonist 😊)

I too deeply want a character creator. But I would probably keep the mask and maybe give the player character a tiny upper body workout. :D

Yes, please. Remove the mask. They're all ugly and I want the character customization.

Lots of games have the option to hide the helmet, but technically it's still there. An option just to hide the mask would be nice without breaking the gameplay (compare e.g. Soulmask)

the devs are focused on MP right now, so removing the mask is not a priority.

yea, Multiplayer is important of course ... but there's also a but :-) playing alone I seldom see myself from front. In MP, I see my buddies more often from front, and of course would be nice not to have the identical figure running around multiple times - I often tend to look at the wrong one, when it's not clear, who is who *blushes*

This looks like a game I would play but not being able to hide the mask is a deal breaker, and honestly there are just too many other games of a similar type that I would not feel I have to play this one in spite of the mask.

Just wanted to give some feedback from someone who is on the fence on this game. Not sure if it's the whole covid thing or what...for 2 years I didn't see any of my coworkers faces because of the masks. It felt very isolating not seeing or being seen.

The player character doesn't have a complete face model currently. Unless you want to look like an SCP creature then it would be an improvement.

FWIW, I like the masks. It adds a unique element and some mysteriousness that sets the game apart, just like the richness of the world compared to most other generic survival games.
