Amity for Killing Wandering Withered
The amount of hissing spiders and combat music everywhere around the map is a bit much. A lot of the time they wander far from the blobs so you can’t even find the source. It’d be nice if when we have to kill some of these with resources, that we’d get some Amity for the trouble.

I agree, I think the Amity still needs to be more balanced where we are NOT punished and have negative amity when we kill an aggressive animal to stay alive. And, you get 3 Amity points for simply removing a weed but only get one measly Amity when helping an injured animal that you GIVE resources to and are doing a good deed for another living being.

Exactly. The predators are almost just as bad and frequent, and they’re harder to kill by a mile so it’s not even worth it unless you need something specific. Usually just ends up with more durability loss, food/potion sponging, and nothing to show for it besides some meat and hide.

I use a bow to take out predators..get up where they can't reach me and just fire away..

Yeah, I also think harvesting "dead" flora outside (perhaps even inside) an ecosystem should give some Amity.

I think there's a lot of room for creativity when it comes to getting Amity. For example, once you restore certain ruins/shrines it should unlock the ability for the player to make an offering or otherwise donate certain types of resources (along the theme of the ruin/shrine) for an Amity bonus + random reward.

As a side note... You are in for a BIG surprise in terms of deadly aggressive creatures when your colossal trees hit Tier 4.

I like the dead flora idea that makes a lot of sense…similar to pulling weeds.

And very much agree during certain quest completions when I’m literally restoring forests and healing the land, no Amity :(

Oh boy looking forward to it. I have one at tier 4 already but haven’t seen anything yet.

I agree. They need to do something to reward you for fighting the withered. Especially with just how low the durability is on your weapons.

I did a quest 2 days ago where I had to go to a location that was quite far from any portals on Tuesday and just fighting the withered (and a few predators) that I ran into along the way consumed 2 swords, 1 spear, and 1 1/2 bows. So nearly 5 weapons, total, got used up...and I received, literally, nothing. And was out of weapons, far from any portals.

I mean, do they even play their own game? That does not leave a player with a good, positive feeling about the gameplay.

Ouch. I'm basically still using the Tether Bow since the low damage is compensated by the relative safety that the micro-stun it has provides.

I was actually considering switching to "real" weapons for faster kills, but after what you've described that sounds like a hard pass...

Funnily enough, the tethered bow was the 1/2 bow I mentioned. Once my Iron bow was gone, it's all I had left. >.<
The two swords were both bone swords. It's the main weapon I use because it's so easy to get the materials for it and I always carry extras.

Still, very frustrating to blow through so many weapons and get nothing to show for it. >.<

I use the tethered bow a ton, sadly. The durability loss on the everything is just too great.
