Can't get 1920x1080 to work even with Widescreen Fix

I have a 2560x1440p monitor. I can't get this game to give me the 1920x1080 resolution option even with the widescreen fix. Am I putting the widescreen fix folder in the right spot?

I've read through another two threads on here and northing I've tried has worked.

I had the same issue, and deleting my profile settings fixed it for me.

No problem, it's called "Config.DPLUser" should be located in "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Driver Parallel Lines" folder.

So delete Config.DPLUser and try again after you apply the widescreen fix.

Im a new player,and please dont make fun of me because of my disability and low knowledge of pc/gaming and eletronics,so my issue is i just tried this game the 1st time,i put it on the highest setting for the screen,with the wide screen option,when i click confirm i get like a split screen,showing game,steam,and desktop at the same time,and then its stuck and i cant get out of it without force shutdown of my pc,im using an HDMI cord to hook up to tv,not sure size so whats causing my issue,how do i fix it,
