Driver Parallel Lines - Possible Crash Fix
Ever be playing this game, and sometimes, get a crash message, especially when changing eras or even just saving / exiting the game? Well, I've been testing a little fix for that.

DRIVER PARALLEL LINES CRASH FIX

What it is: After some testing, I've found that placing an nVidea-specific D3D9.dll into the main directory of some games while on machines that seem to have difficulties playing them (such as those with Intel HD Graphics chips) actually improves the stability of the game and in some cases, prevents crashes. In this archive you'll find one such D3D9.dll that seems to do just that.

What it does: When placed in the main Driver Parallel Lines directory, the game will think you're using an nVidea card instead of Intel HD Graphics (or whichever adapter you do happen to have). If you go to play it with this installed, switching between eras and saving / exiting should work as intended on newer hardware.

How to install: Place the included D3D9.dll into the main Driver Parallel Lines directory. You may have to redo your graphics setup a bit in-game, but stability will have increased and possibly, more graphics modes / resolutions may be present.

How to uninstall: Remove the D3D9.dll from the Driver Parallel Lines directory. While this may cause you to redo your graphics again in-game, you can play the game using your default graphics driver.. and possibly return to any instability and game-crashes you were experiencing.

I'm not sure if this is it, as I don't seem to have the .zip backed up as it was on me at the moment. I'll keep looking around some more, but for now, this one that was in a backup game directory and labeled "d3d9_nv" might be worth a shot. Not sure if it meant "NVidia" or "New Vegas", as it's been a while. I might have been trying to get it to work via proxy with ENBSeries at some point, to not much success. I renamed it back to "d3d9", hopefully it works.

Anyways, try this one out, and if it doesn't work at first, right click the .dll, open it's properties, and tick the unblock option box, pressing apply afterwards. Sometimes Windows does that to "files from another computer".

Yeah, I tried EVERYTHING for like an hour, and I am an expert. Final resort even went to gamecopyworld and tried everything that scanned clean. Now my only idea left is to install it to a win10 32 bit machine and see if that takes...I own it on a family account.
My main rig is a I7 win11 with 1070Gfx
