God Mode not working

Hi all. I'm not ashamed to say the final battle with the Striders & Hunters is too much for me right now. So I wanted to enable God Mode to breeze through it:

1) open console within game options
2) type "sv_cheats 1"
3) type "god" (then tells me "god mode is on")
4) Load last save
5) die anyway

also tried "buddha"....same issue.

Any ideas?

yeah, do the commands after you load a save, dont load save after commands, the save has svcheats 0 & god 0 within it.

if typing in console is too troublesome for you, you can add -vrdev to your launch paramters and in the options menu you'll have an extra tab with the buttons for enabling sv_cheats / god mode which you can choose after loading your save.
