Where to farm for useful items?
Early on? Some bosses/minibosses drop greens or blues but extremely rarely and still, simple quest rewards are sometimes better!

How to itemhunt from the 2nd area onwards? Right after Tortage.

You're probably talking about hitting up the early dungeon / group content, but pretty much in all my time (since 2009) I've always got the impression AoC was one of the few games that DIDN'T locked the really good stuff behind Bosses and you were more likely to get the good stuff from some of the bigger quest rewards.

If you look on the AH, most of the really good items up for sale are just quest rewards.

Now the one area where the boss does drop the super stuff is the Monthly World Boss, they're great for getting purple items.

Not always. Depends more on where he spawns at and this will help you with that:

If he spawns in say Dragonspine which is a 80+ area, odds are you'll never be able to get to him, that's what I mean when I saw it depends on his spawn point.

Now to REALLY hurt the WB, yea pretty much being a lvl 80 is the thing. Thing is ANYONE that does damage against it (even 1 pt.) get's the end reward. Now granted any armor or weapons in the box will be for lvl 80, but there's also cosmetic items & pets, just no xp.

I've taken my shots at the world boss with lvl 25 characters, granted I died alot, but I did my part and got the end box so that's all that matters.
