Epic vs normal version of dungeons

I just started playing. Yeah, I know. Anyway, I'm currently lvl 12 and I can take anything one on one in the city. As soon as I step out into the dungeons, things get evil. I'm one on one equal in strength with the first enemy on the White Isle if I hit Epic. I plow through the first area on Normal. Is epic a New Game Plus for replaying the game with a maxed out character?

Epic is meant for groups. I wouldn't bother with epic play-fields right now. Just worry about lvl'ling and getting off Tortage.

I have no idea if it's fact or not, but I've always found the few times I've tried a zone on epic it was like the NPC's all had double the number of hit points. It even carries over to some of the lower level dungeons.

I've taken my higher level character in (lvl 67 vs the lvl 50-60 cisten in Tant) and while they can't really hurt me it takes forever to defeat them. Just becomes a button pushing slogging match.

Epic is for groups. Tends to drop better loot.
