Only One Character Slot?
I just got AoC Unchained and I am really liking it. But I notice that I can only create one character; all the other character slots are locked. I want to try another character class and not delete the one I have been working on. What do I need to do to get a second character slot? Thanks.

There is no way to get another slot without spending money for it. You can become a member to get 8 slots (not sure if this is correct but you get some more slots). These slots are open as long as your membership goes. Or you can buy a single slot in the ingame shop.
Membership costs 15 Euro per months (less if you subscribe for more months). 1 characterslot costs 1.500 Funcom Points. You can get 1.800 Points for 15 Euro, too. I am not sure what it is in dollars or any other currency. You can check this in the game when you open the item shop.

That is much too much money for just one character slot IMO. As good as this game is it seems to be nearly dead and not worth spending so much money on at this point IMO.

Yes all 8 slots are open if you sub or have game time, To get another slot so you can try out a different class all you need to do is start up another account, which means a different e-mail address than the one on your existing account. I had a second account using a hotmail address.

AoC's death has been called many times, yet it's still here. The starter island is almost always full and I've been seeing alot of mid-game characters out and about of late.

Well, it is definately a fun game. At least, I am enjoying it.
