As to the rest; artificial game construct, no different than how in some games only certain genders can be certain classes. It's dumb, but it is just a game.
what i do not get is as follows,
i have 290 hide and move... the stuff still sees me; Animals almost always, and that one special Mob that calls the others.
I've never actually been able to tell, but supposely the 'crystal' at the bottom of the mini map is suppose to lighten / darken depending upon where you're moving to to show how effective Hide is working.
No matter how high your skill in it is, if you're out in the middle of a flat area, you will be seen. To use it correctly you have to skulk through the bushes, stick to the dark area's, stay away from torches etc...
Ok i try the shadow thing, like 100% of the rogue games out there, thanks for pointing it out. I write you later
even then majority of the time something attacks you anyway
Maybe it works different for an assassin since they have attacks that work with the whole hide effect.
whoever did the Hud programming for this must been 3 or 4 people that go a work order and did not care about the end product
I don't use them, but there are a couple of custom UI's that you can import and use. If you go over to the official forums or just google it you should find them.
Each archetype has a somewhat odd duck too. Conq is a DPS "tank" for instance.
That, along with the story lore of Conan being a barbarian and a thief at one point, set barbarian as a rogue.
