Age of Conan: Unchained

Difference between AoC and AoC "old" in steam library?
I have two versions of the game appearing in my library, and one is marked "old" I'm curious as to how this came to be, and why, because I don't see a point, all I've noticed is that it splits your game hours, in order to accurately see how many hours one has in AoC you have to add the hours from each version of the game.

The game was first listed as Age of Conan: Hyborian Edition, then when it went F2p they changed it to Unchained and in May 2016 they changed the F2p portion and allowed everyone access to AA points (vice just those with Godslayer) and changed it over to B2p with the expansion (vice must have sub or guest passes to get in). So the previous version got 'OLD' added to it and the current version was just listed as 'Unchained'

Why there's 'versions' beats the heck out of me as it's the same updated game being played.

My son has an old computer that still has the 'old' version loaded. Same game, but the numbers show up under that in the library.

I too have those in my library; Age of Conan: Unchained and Age of Conan: Unchained (old). I also have my non-Steam version add a game listed as just Age of Conan.

If you get to the forums here by using the 'discussion' tab and just type in 'Conan' you'll see all 3 versions listed with 'Old' and 'Hyborian' (original) still listed and no longer used.
