Now your characters inventory can be expanded without spending any real money, just using the ingame gold, silver etc.... coin you earn. Go see the General Vendor either in Old Tant off to the left of the Auction House or Con. Village on the left path to the Auction House (can't remember where the one in Khemi is).
They sell various sized bags for you inventory to expand it. The largest of course is over 10g so that's out for a F2p type, but you can get it up to a pretty good size with the largest bag under that gold limit.
No in game ways to earn Funcom points.
Now a work around to the bank and your gold limit would be to create your own one man Guild. You'll end up with a Guild bank so more slots there and a Guild treasury so when you're getting close to the 10g limit on your character you can move gold over to the guild. All it really does is keep it out of your characters overflow space, but as you can't get at that gold unless you go VIP, it makes it so you move your money back and forth and keep it all available in 10g chunks.
OK on the gold. Open up your inventory tab and look at the right bottom. You'll see how much coin you have on you on one line. Below that (and it might only show when it's needed) is another line called 'overflow' or something. Once you go over 10g on your character, the amount over that goes into the 'overflow' section. THAT's the coin you can't get at until you go VIP.
Example on my main I have 2 gold or so 'in my pocket' so to speak, but I've managed to build up 25 gold in my 'overflow'. I can't touch that 25g UNLESS I go VIP. VIP doesn't have any gold limit so if I sub all I'd see is the one coin line with how much I have.
The way around having coin you can't touch is to form your own guild. The guild has it's own bank slots and treasury. When you start getting close to 10g (which won't be for awhile since you're in Tortage) you transfer coin to the guild funds (when I get up around 6g or so on my character I'll move funds over). You're still stuck with only being able to carry 10g on you, but say you find something for sale that costs 15g. You contact the guy and ask if you can buy it in 2 payments. You clean out your 10g on hand and then withdraw more from your guild bank and pay him the rest. All the guild route does is keep the coin where you can get at it, vice locking it behind a pay wall.
Correct, F2p players have a gold cap of 10gold so unless you work out a private deal like above, you're stuck not buying anything over 10gold. You'll find down the road that alot of the higher level faction gear not only costs faction tokens you earn, but also over 10gold so the F2p player will never be able to buy the very best gear.
That's the Night Time vendor right?
Sorry for spoilers.
I've got close to two hundred in mine
