Microsoft Voice Access
Looks like Microsoft is no longer going to support speech recognition, but instead recommends downloading the new Voice Access feature it is implementing. Will Tower still work?

Yes, because Tower is using there own system for voice recognition.

That is not correct. They use Acapela for the voices but rely on Microsoft for the speech recognition. That's why there are specific language pack requirements and why they suggest Windows speech recognition training as part of the setup.

I've gone through all this training and the voice still doesn't work for me. I'm wondering if Acapela is going to update so it works with Voice Access, which is what Microsoft is switching to and will no longer support speech recognition that they've had for so long.

Keep in mind, for this game at least, Acapela is only used for the voices we hear and really has no interface with Windows speech recognition (WSR).
Voice Access is only available on Windows 11 and MS says it is replacing WSR on W11 in September. Does this just impact command interfaces or underneath the cover stuff (API) too. I guess we'll find out soon enough. But this really isn't new news, so I would assume FT has plans how to handle this (if needed).

Hi. Thanks for your question! We are already working on our own system, so rest assured that even if one day we wake up and windows decides to change everything, we will not be left without the amazing speech recognition function. We have not announced too many details about this yet, but we plan to, and also we share some insights on our Discord. Well, Vic does anyway. If you have any trouble currently with the voice rec, please just reach out to us on our Zendesk support platform or Discord, so either Federico (our tech support guy) or someone from our dev / beta team could help you as soon as possible. Thanks!

What happened to freedom of speech?

Edit: This is just another reason why I wont be buying anymore from this developer. Congratulations on losing another customer.

Give me a valid reason why you deleted my question?

Nothing to do with freedom of speech. Your comment was regarding Tower! 3D Pro, and not Tower! Simulator 3. This forum or discussion thread is for Tower! Simulator 3.
I believe the valid reason to delete your comment, (and would be kindly asking you) to not discuss Tower! 3D Pro on this game's forum. Especially since that simulator game has not been developed for Win 11, we released this new version short 2 years ago, and this is the version we are developing and not Tower!3D. When we have anything to comment or announce about Tower!3D, we will do that on its own forum in time.
Thank you :)
