Tower! Simulator 3

Tower! Simulator 3

How true are the negative reviews?
I'm a HUGE fan of Tower 3D Pro and was really looking forward to upgrading to Tower! Simulator 3 but the huge amount of negative reviews held me back. To all you brave early adopters I wanted to ask you: Have things improved?
I keep reading that the voice recognition doesn't work well and that it's not single monitor friendly for example. Is it better now? I am itching to try it but really don't want to waste AAA game money on something that will be frustrating. Any info hugely welcome.

Yes, multiple displays might be better but to be honest most of the time I play with one display and it works absolutely fine for me. I even don't use voice recognition.
Big downside for me is the save option which is not working properly. But works better than in the beginning. It is getting better for sure, but not perfect yet.

Using one display is OK, but obviously the more the better. I sometimes use voice recognition other times mouse and keyboard. The picture quality of the game is superior to TS3 Pro, but like TS3Pro you need WT/WC from Nyerges Design for the realism, but you can give it a try without and it works OK. I would suggest that you check out the Discord Channel
and look back to some of the tutorials to give you a better idea of the quality and using one display.

Single monitor player here and close to 190 hours into the game so far. It's a blast. The game has flaws/bugs, but which game hasn't? They are working hard to solve issues as well as putting new things into the game or improve things. They listen to the community as much as possible, so what is more to ask for (in my opinion at least). You also need to buy WC/WT only once and it will work for the base game, current DLC's and any DLC that will come in the future, while you had to buy them for each airport separately in Tower 3D Pro (so I have read, as I did never play that game). As said, come and join the FeelThere Discord server to read all about experiences, words from the devs, etc.

Thanks for taking the time to write these responses. Voice recognition is the main reason I play T3DPro. The concept of talking to the planes and hearing them respond is awesome to me. It does seem like those of you who responded either don't use the voice recognition feature at all or seldom do, which is fine, but that's definitely an essential feature for me. Does anyone else use voice recognition regularly and is it working for you?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I do use voice recognition and it's working fine here.

No idea why you want to bring that up, not to mention the fact that is was a joke (hench the wink at the end of the line) and the fact that I have the same fulltime job for over 27 years now, so the chances of me moving into something else are very small.
I do like to help people, so if FT really needs people, they are free to ask, but until any of that happens, I am just a customer playing their game and giving opinions on both good and not so good things in the game.

How much of a pain is it to play without voice? also, can you pause the game? I’d be playing this at work in between busy hours, but prefer not to have to use voice recognition. And need for pause so I can come back to where I left off when I have a slow time. I really want some kind of ATC game, I don’t care much for graphics etc. just playability. This will be on a laptop so I don’t expect great graphics or anything super fancy. Just want a basic game to play to pass the time. Thanks!

I use keyboard & mouse quite often so that I don't disturb the wife. You will need to type in some commands but that's no bother. You can pause the game but there are problems with the save game at the moment.

Thanks for all your critical feedback. We listen to our community and as already mentioned on our Discord server, we are going to change the voice recognition completely. We have been working on that for at least the past 5-6 months, and it is going to be a major thing I am sure, but we try to make sure that this development doesn't stop, and keep adding new features into the base game, just like new free airports too, and go back and fix bugs, VR and all sorts of things you report. I hope that answers your questions. We do not plan to stop doing, what we are the best at I believe. ATC simulation ;)

Main problems for me:

- It demands a lot from the graphics card. I have a great card, but the cooling system goes crazy when I start the game. Other games with superior graphics don't require as much.
- I prefer the option without the 3d cabin, but every time I enter I have to configure all the windows again as there is no way to save them like in Tower3D Pro.
- There is no simple keyboard shortcut to pause or change the game speed.

Ultimately, despite the better images and possibilities for moving the camera around the space in Tower Simulator, Tower3D Pro ends up being a more comfortable and fun simulator to play.
