Voice recognition Cortana u/s?

Cheers all real and wannabee AT-Controllers!
I am an old ex-pilot in Swedish Air Ambulance and have always loved the ATC communications. Have tried some earlier "sims" but found them very "childish" so far.
Now, I got my hands on this Tower! Simulator 3 but it did not work at all with my headset/mike. I watched a Youtube-clip where the guy recommended the "Cortana" app for voice recognition, but when I tried to install it, Microsoft said "We’re making some changes to Windows and Microsoft 365 that will impact Cortana users. Cortana in Windows as a standalone app is deprecated. "
So.. What can I do to make this sim work with my voice?? So far it sounds ok when I push the 'Tab' key but nothing happens.. The first 'tin-can' on approach just makes a go-around and don't re-read my order 'cleared to land rwy 07'..
Btw, "u/s" remark in my old flying reality aircraft log book would mean that item is unusable/needs repair. Not sure what the "s" stands for..maybe need service?

Did you put the aircrafts callsign before this?
Does any text appear on screen when you talk?

It was a very quick test I made and I could not remember the complete callsign.. Maybe I just used the last 4 numbers and missed the letters.. For sure, I will be more prepared this time and try again.

I can call up "FieldAir4873" on ground and say "FieldAir4873 cleared for pushback" and my first words appear in the Command view, but when I release the tab button, my text is altered to "go around" , "hold short" or something else completely wrong!
The lady replies either with "Say again" or "Negative"..
It seems like my speach goes in but the output is way off..
What to do?

"FieldAir4873 cleared for pushback" is not a valid command. You need to say "FieldAir4873 PUSHBACK APPROVED EXPECT RUNWAY XX" or "FieldAir4873 APPROVED EXPECT RUNWAY XX" if the airplane doesn't need a push.

Check the manual for the supported command.

Based on your screen you only said "PUSHBACK APPROVED". You forgot to add the runway they need to expect. The expected runway defines in which direction the aircraft is going to be pushed. "PUSHBACK APPROVED EXPECT RUNWAY 25R" (25R as an example)

Yes, I know but have learned to use the whole prase now.
Only problem left is that I can\t hear their voices! It is very annoying and I cant understand why.. I hear the aircraft and the external sounds but not their radio calls ..

Finally it all seems to work perfectly and I am very happy today!
The combination of SWE keyboard and US English voice pack made me able to hear the a/c's radio comms and my own orders seems to work fine!

Yes, thank you, now I am so inspired! :) I just want to know how to download the 'real world' liveries for the aircraft? I saw it somewhere but now I can't find it..

You cannot download that. It can be bought on the website of either Nyerges Designs or FeelThere. When doing so on the ND website, you will get a download link. When doing so on the FT website, you have to install the FT portal software, login with the same mailaddress used to buy WC/WT and then download and installation will happen through their portal software.

Indeed! Our Portal then automatically handles the future updates. This is why we have created this app, to come as close like Steam store, every update happens by itself when NYD rolls out a new update when a new airport gets release.

Thank's , yes it sounds good! I had a lot of trouble downloading as my pc and Microsoft blocked the file since it was "not often downladed". However I got superior support from Nyerges and while exchanging e-mails, I found out that it was my "Windows Defender Smart-Screen" that was the problem. It was easily disengaged and the download completed.
I also got Zurich LSZH dlc and it looks great!
