Issues when creating your private game

Hi everyone,

I just recently bough the game and I wish to play with a friend against bots. =)
But there is a problem, once I have created the server, I do not have the option to invite him.
Also once I am in game he has the option to join, however after a few seconds he receives the message: "Server Timed Out". :/

I suppose that there can be several fixes:
1- I need to "open" the right ports (can someone tell me which ones to open ?)
2- Or I will have to use Hamachi
3- Or The only way to play is using LAN when me and my friend are in the same room :/

If there is any other possible fixes I am more than happy to hear them =).

Having looked around, I noticed that I am not the only person encoutering this problem. Hopefully someone will have an answer =).

I have no problem setting up custom matches. Are you using router? If you are, you need to open and foward some ports for the game.

Hi there =),
yes I do use a router, so if I need to forward some ports how do I do that ? And which ports must I forward? =)

Works fine on lan for me and a friend you just connect to ip and there you have it. Make shure you do it on Auto even teams so you can choose your side every map becouse on players vs bots you are going to be limited to the oposite of what team you have choosen the bots to be.
Allso if someone can tell me if the game asks you for a cd key every time you enter cuz mine is and it is kind of anoyng.
