Slight dissapointment [End-game spoilers]
I was really enjoying the PC version of this, i've been longing for a new DQM game ever since I played DQMJ2, but I must say, the post-game in this game was comparatively awful. The actual main game has a lot of length which is lovely, but it never really got difficult in my experience, and I ended up beating the entire game using just regular random synthesis and focusing on carrying over good skills... I beat the game early this week with a team full of B-rank Slimes (2 King Jester Slimes, 1 Queen slime and 1 Shogum) and I was really excited to get my first S-rank monster afterwards with Fizzy.

Only to find out that the only thing to do with my new S-rank buddy were tournaments that were easy enough to beat with my existing team?

I have a full range of unexplored A, S and X rank monster synthesis that I would love to get into but I don't really have a reason to, my current team (I've synthed them into 4 uniques now) is more than strong enough to beat anything in-game without breaking a sweat (I always play only with tactics, never giving manual instructions, just in the spirit of things) and the quick battle feature is cool as it allows you to compare to others' teams, but you don't actually get to SEE the battles unless you go out of your way...

Maybe I set my expectations too high because DQMJ2 had legendary post-game and network battles but why would I need to care about A-rank or above monsters?

Is there any modding scene, any challenges to aspire to? do the scroll fights in the final room get more difficult over time? Or is it all beaten just that easily?

Not to sugar coat it but a lot of end game synth's in the S and X rank actually have poor stat caps, not significantly better than B and A ranks in some cases.

Notably you actually found a couple of the better slime family monsters in the king jester and queen slime.

The Shogum actually has a 30 point higher atk cap than the slionheart, it's direct upgrade.

I also had a the tactics only need need for anything else strategy. i synthed myslef a macho pichu with atk boost 4 + hair splitter and a rabid rector with perfect speller + wis boost 4. Just needed a good source of kazing and kabuff and that's all i really needed, barely used items either.

Since, I synthed my team to S-ranks (all uniques) and honestly, my team got a tiny bit weaker overall, the only thing that noticeably improved was the max HP of most creatures.

I'm already back to playing DQMJ2 instead, much better end-game and much more rewarding size-system, I never used a L monster for my playthrough here
