It got more players than Concord did so it's better I guess but it's still under 1000 players on release date. I know that it's an old game and maybe not the best one of the DQM Saga but damn I wasn't expecting a player count so low.
Probably it's because they removed the online aspect of the game and they added devuno for a singeplayer campaign mode that makes no sense.
I played the original DQM Joker on my DS 14 years ago and I was quite happy to see the Saga releasing on Steam but I guess this is the first and the last spin-off that they will ever release here

I'm replying as a random consumer and not a fan, but I've enjoyed all the Dragon Quest games I've played up to this point. It's a simple issue: people like me don't hear anything about upcoming DQ games and am always surprised when new DQ games appear on Steam. In addition, there's a constant flow of games some with very high ratings and others not so much. It makes it difficult to decide to make a purchase or not.

You have to buy the game and all the DLC on switch which the base game is 60 dollars and the dlc is 6 to 10 dollars so its like 80 dollars on switch. HALF PRICE HERE since you get everything for 40 dollars. So you are wrong.

2nd the game runs at 30 fps on the switch. This has uncapped frame rate and I'm pretty sure higher quality shadows and graphics.

but going by the official site we only got the standard edition on steam, which would mean no DLC what-so-ever.
and it wont change the fact that they're treating steam like an afterthought, otherwise they would've released it on the same day, wouldn't have cut off the multiplayer battles and and with proper graphics for the PC market instead of this low quality switch garbage that makes a 1 year old game look closer to a 10+ year old game.

I did not even know about it just happend to see it was out now. It does not look that great compared to the previous dragon quesst game.

The previous one was Infinity Strash and uh it's definitely better than that. It's also better than the one before that(Treasures)

As someone who only buys physical copies of console games... this game was completely sold out for over a year, so I never bothered buying the switch version.

Bro, I love DQ and I didn't even know this game was coming out until someone posted it on the GameFAQs forum. I still wouldn't know otherwise. It's age and advertising, not whatever boogeyman ya'll are dreaming about that weak.

Is it really better than Treasures? I like that game, despite some of its tedium (which is somewhat to be expected with a DQ game granted).

Well I for one liked DQM3 more than both Treasures and Infinity Trash.

I have this game on Switch. I'm not gonna buy it until there are some decent mods to add new content to the game. I'd not be surprised if most of the people who wanted to buy this game already did.

I did the same thing with Digimon Cyber Sleuth - got a ton of mods to add new monsters to collect in the game. I figure it's a matter of time before mods get ported from other DQ games into TDP.

I mean i bought this because i don't partake in 30 FPS 504p Console gaming with cranked motion blur and Depth of field so like every console.
I only partake in GIGACHAD PC gaming
even if i have to wait I really don't care about buying a new game if its a console exclusive cause i have a backlog of 2000 games i can literally just wait til it comes to PC dont need to inject the new hotness into my veins like a crack addict like some Gamers

Hoping someone mades a mod to remove the bloom though cause holy hell its annoying
