Flopped so Hard
It got more players than Concord did so it's better I guess but it's still under 1000 players on release date. I know that it's an old game and maybe not the best one of the DQM Saga but damn I wasn't expecting a player count so low.
Probably it's because they removed the online aspect of the game and they added devuno for a singeplayer campaign mode that makes no sense.
I played the original DQM Joker on my DS 14 years ago and I was quite happy to see the Saga releasing on Steam but I guess this is the first and the last spin-off that they will ever release here

its a niche game. i didn't buy the game but plan to do it some day

800 x $40 = $32,000? Not sure how much the switch sold

They didn't advertise it much. I assume SQEX is hoping for the long tail like they have with some other games they kinda just threw onto Steam.

Well it apparently surpassed a million after a month and a half.

"DURR Single player game doesn't have high numbers!" I hate the steam charts for this reason alone. If you're not going to buy it, then why waste time here?

It's a PC Port of a niche game that came out almost a year ago on the console everyone owns. Only reason I'm even investigating the PC Port is to find out if it looks decent, because the Switch version kind of doesn't.

I already 100% the game on Switch, so not in any hurry to buy and replay this from scratch. I'll definitely buy it at some point, but that'd be on a deeper sale more than likely. Would've bought it here day one at full price if it had came to PC day one.

Op is just farming jesters and making up nonsense with zero facts to back it up. Typical steam user

Private profile as well. Like pottery.

Looks like it'll do a bit better than Dragon Quest Builders 1 and Treasures. About what you'd expect from a Dragon Quest on Steam that's not a new release. Granted the Heroes games weren't re-releases on Steam and it's still doing about as good as those. The west doesn't really care about Dragon Quest unless it's a brand new fancy main-entry game, unfortunately

Well more players than the biggest gaming belly flop in history doesn't mean much.

It's possible a lot of people are waiting to hear if the port is good, how badly censored it is, and so on. This means that I expect once you hear people reporting back after having done a full play through of the game, you will see if sales are going to pick up.

Remember it's a Japanese game by a major studio in the middle of a controversy over localization, and Japan possibly leaning towards selling out to the woke. Not to mention there have been some absolutely terrible ports of stuff like this and that makes them risky.

When a company releases pretty much zero information about a product in this climate, it's going to negatively impact initial sales.

more like a lot of people just don't want low effort copy-pasta jobs that launch at full price and even got content cropped.
like seriously, the switch is outdated junkware in every aspect you might want to look at it so that's obviously gonna take some actual effort to upgrade it to PC standards instead of just keep it looking like :shit:

Will the profits be enough to pay for Denuvo?
So stupid.

Brother its a single player game, who cares how many players are on as long as im able to play

I hold my purchase because
- No online features
- There is a chance they will release complete edition / professional edition, I got scammed once by buying Dragon Quest XI standard edition then they release complete edition several months later on Steam with no option to upgrade
