Rollback not working?

I assume "Rollback" refers to being able to go back several clicks in conversations etc. Unfortunately that doesnt seem to work. I tried to activate/deactivate ist several times, during the game aswell as from the main menue. I cant find it in the UI.
Is the Rollback what I think it is? Where do I find it?
And if it's not what I think it is, what does it do?

The hotkeys are the same as on most visual novel games. For rollback, mouse wheel or page up
