Hello there!

In this post we will talk about what have been working on the last months and asking some of your questions, so let's get started!

First of all we would like to thank the community for the patience and support since the announcement of Echoes Of The Living. You may be wondering why there isn't any updates here on Steam (For those who are not following the progress updates on our Social Media) and you are right! We think is time to show some of the cool stuff we have been working on these last few months and answer some of the most asked questions!


In the past months we have been increasing the size of the explorable areas of the game and making an even bigger world for you to explore and survive in! so, in order to create a truly spooky zombie outbreak, we had to redo most of our assets and rebuild our content until we had everything we needed to work with.

*Wait a second! Laurel model has changed!*

- Yes! Laura has been working really hard to make our Main Characters look better than ever!
In fact we can finally add facial animations!

*Looks like some people don't know how lighting works so, lets compare the same render with the same lighting and pose in both (the old comparison render had 3 lights facing the new model and 8 lights facing the old model, besides the animation is not even in the same frame).*


Now let's take a look at some of the new areas and WIP ones

- As we expand the game and it's explorable areas, the lore and it's characters do the same!
That means that we can finally show some backstory in a more interactive way



Now let's answer some questions!

Q: "Why so many delays?"
A: We are a small team of 2, that means a LOT of work and a lot of restless nights and crunching to meet our own goals. We believe that Echoes Of The Living must be released at it's best shape and knowing that we made everything we could to offer the best game experience possible.
Q: "Why no release date announced yet?"
A: Even tho we work really hard and countless hours each day, sometimes we find barriers that delays our progress (Needs to learn new tools or implement ideas, Bug hunting, Creative block,Health issues...)
Q: "Does that means the release date is no longer 2024?"
A: We are working non stop to make sure we meet our goal and release the game before the year ends. One of the possible case of delay could be due a bigger title or bigger company releasing a product in a date that we cannot compete with.
Q: "Will there be Ultra Wide support?"
A: We are on it! Sadly it takes us time to make this resolution work without gameplay issues

Q: "Will Echoes Of The Living be Steam Deck Compatilbe?"
A: Yes! in fact there will be an exclusive Video Option to make the Game look at its best while maintaining a solid framerate!
Q: "Will it be ported to consoles?"
A: Sadly porting is something we can't afford right now, but hopefully if the Steam version does well we can reinvest into console porting!
