I understand. I have a demo up for a game I am making and there were some bugs being found as soon as I made it available. My first instinct was "don't let people play it broken, PULL IT" but I fought the urge. I patched it the same day but it was hard not to pull it down until the patch was live.
It does not. When you browse local files the demo was replaced with a file called THX4PING which only takes you to the "Thanks for playing" screen that you get when you beat the demo.
Weird, because I'm playing it right now as I read your comment.

Maybe it's because I haven't finished the demo and the THX4PING file hasn't been generated yet.
if you completed the demo, you can't play it anymore, you will get the thank you for playing the demo screen
this strange approach to use the same page for a release game and a demo version game
Nostalgia is so strong in me that I'm planning to play it on TV like in PS1 RE times (fonts could be little bit bigger tho...).
Let's just hope that demo will up again around Christmas.
Completely missed the demo here too.
