Does ego armor level up?

I know the ego weapons do, but what about the armor?

No, just the weapons.

Okay, thanks. Just a suggestion, but maybe that should be mentioned in the guide or somewhere in-game? Maybe as one of those help comments that pops up when you press 'h'.

I just wasn't able to answer my question with an internet search earlier which is why I suggest it.
