What am I supposed to do with the Demon Hunter?
My problem is that I'm starting to lose health faster than I find it comfortable and nearly every (big) fight requires me to pop some food. I'm level 15 with pretty good gear (got a 37.1 DPS 2H sword, most of my items are legendary, Elite or Set). I have 34% normal damage absorption and about the same for the other resistances. I use Impale for solo enemies and Fire Strike against crowds and have a few points in Two-Handed Mastery. My stat priority is Vit > Dex > Str > Spi. Am I missing out on some vital skills here? Or is there some point after which things start to get smoother for melee classes? I feel like I might be investing too much in the high cost skills too early and may be spreading myself a bit thin. Any advice on the Demon Hunter and melee in general would be nice.

Heya.
First: feel free to add me !

Demon Hunter is ment as a very DPSive class. I don't think you can really play as tank ... The defensive skills of demon hunter is just to low for it. BUT ... if you find some really good wpns (2-H swords i'd recommend) you can play as glass cannon ... focus your gear all on dex. Also skill some Int (for crits) i'm playing a lvl 82 Demon Hunter and i play on lvl 100 1hitting every monster (but some elite-mobs and bosses) i do amazing 3k dmg and 6k crits. (highest crit was like 9k)

Also ... don't forget to skill plate armor. It has the best stats for Demon Hunters. My current Priority of stats is this: Dex>Str=Int>Vit ... don't forget: your gear also can improve your abilities !

I also have to play with perma-food ... but if you look out for no penality shops (so for non-infested or lost food shipments) then you can play pretty good with it.

Another tip: try to play alot higher levels. Like 10 levels above your Own. That makes you able to find amazing gear. Also ... _always_ check by the smiths ... they can have some surprises for you ... i got my current wpn from 'em (legendary with 420 max dmg, +182% max dmg, 38% weapon speed and some more stats i don't remember right now ...)

At the start a wpn with crit increase will serve very well, i guess.

Kill everything before it kills you ;)

Gothic greetings !

PS: I only use Ravage as attack. It's the best one, trust me !
