I started installing until dawn and my antivirus flagged the game file

I am using norton360 and it says "we've blocked Bates.exe because it was infected with Win64:PUP-gen [PUP]"

is this a false positive?

Just use microsoft standard defender, you dont need hoax software like Norton or any other anti virus that was popular in the nineties...

I am 18 hours a day online, gaming every day for over 15 years with just standard defender, never had a virus or even a false positive on any of my pc's that i had in all that time.

Win64:PUP-gen can be a virus/malware but is most of the time a false positive, it just recognises a file that is not standard to your windows system.

So IF you are NOT using any crack tools on your pc that norton piece of crap is pulling your leg...
