79% positive reviews ?!
Like, I don't get how this game is actually sitting on a 79% positive, all time reviews. Like... what's wrong with gamers nowadays? How can we have such low standards to give a thumbs up to a game initially launched 10 years ago, that came to PC with removed music, performance issues, graphic infidelity and an astonishing price tag of 70 euro!? I simply don't get it.

I'm not a hater - I wanted and want to love this port. This is the only exclusivity that I ever wanted on PC. I watched the original game being played by streamers for countless of hours. The game (original one) is still , to this day , an unmatched , one of a kind masterpiece. All SONY had to do was to press ctrl C - ctrl V and to add some basic keyboard + mouse control. That's absolutely all they had to do in all of this time. I wouldn't even have minded the absurd 70 euro price IF they would have gave us the original game. Yet, we got this tragedy. The best OST of it's time has been replaced by generic AI sounds and pseudo-music.

I look at the 79% (and growing) positive review percentage and I'm just shocked... How is this possible , lads? I am curious to know, what made you press the "recommend" button for this port?

I’m sitting here thinking the same thing. I literally can’t believe some of the technical issues I’m seeing in this. I’ve stopped playing and waiting to see if a patch can fix it otherwise it’s refund. Ridiculous.

They shamelessly sell this game for 60 dollars. No one plays it, no one buys it. It appears on Steam DB. Also, UE problems continue. It's a 9-year-old game.the greedy ones

I always wanted to buy Until Dawn back in 2015, but I never really did since i'm more of a PC gamer. I slowly forgotten the game and out of nowhere, this version appeared on Steam.

I haven't bought this game for 70 bucks tho, just a little bit cheaper and I have to say, I really have fun playing this game. It's maybe not the full price worthy, but around 40 to 45 would be a better price.

No idea about the deleted OST, but I just like the game how it is right now. I also don't have any performance issue's to be honest. It already run good on launch and now even better with some patches they released. I have no stutters, freezes and I have smooth FPS. The only problem I have is, when I set it to full screen and 4k, it crashes. So, I just leave it on Windows Borderless and its still in 4k.

Don't get me wrong, the story is fun but also a little bit cliché. But what really irritates me is that some stuff is poorly writing, even tho the story is fun.

For example, Ashley and Chris are in the basement, looking for Sam. Ashley got a few minutes split from Chris and encountered the "psychopath". After they got reunited, Ashley tells Chris not to speak loudly because she encountered the "psychpath" and that this person is nearby. Like a few seconds later they hear a sound in the distance, and Ashley started to scream for Sam immediately very loudly, right after she said "shhhttt, be quiet the psychopath is near."

That kind of stuff irritates me about this game and kinda breaks the immersion for me.

I can only agree with this sentiment.
I was so happy when I heard the news, I actually bought the game back then for PlayStation, a few months after release for 40GBP.
I would not have minded to pay 40EUR for the PC release, but almost double, no way.
Then the fact that the EU fans need to fork over more, while there us less spending power compared to the USA, see avg annual salaries USA vs. EU is ridiculous.
It is a money grab by SONY and the developer of the remaster.

I would have bought it day one, but when I read the pricing, I just felt I was taken advantage of.

I enjoyed / am enjoying the other Supermassiv games, just completed The Quarry a few days ago, going to start with The Casting of Frank Stone, and then play Man of Medan and Little Hope on PC (played on PlayStation before) and hope to be ready for Directive 8020.
If Until Dawn gets a nice sale (40EUR or less), I will think about it!

it is the same great game that I love, also one of my personal favorite horror game ever so high reviews don't seem weird to me.

This had major potential, but the soundtrack alone is atrocious.

I feel like most of the positive reviews is because of the fact that Until Dawn IS a good game, it's well written, has good characters and jumpscares, etc. It's just a really poor PC port with horrible optimisation

... and even more terrible pricing

I thought the same: What, 79 percent positive reviews, only 79 percent?
Why not 80 or 82 percent? I don't understand how that could happen.

So I never played it when it originally came out so I am unable to make a comparison to the original - only the new one and honestly I bloody love it!

I'm basically an adventure gamer who loves puzzles but have been dabbling in other genres and I like horror. I also have played the other Supermassive Games and Dark Anthology series.

So I was super excited when UD came out on Steam and honestly, I have no complaints whatsoever and it was money well spent for me.

In saying that, not having played the original, like I know many have and therefore have something to compare with, I actually feel I am more fortunate in that regard.

Made the mistake of trying to play Silent Hill 2 (another horror so I thought it would be up my street) and I am bored out of my mind. Go figure!

Each to their own I guess
