No dialogue sound or subtitles

I just downloaded the game and updated it. But, I cannot hear of the character dialogue and there are no subtitles for the dialogue. I only can the hear the music and I get subtitles that tell they are breathing or panting.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Are you using a PS V controller?
I noticed that their voices were coming through the PS V controller. So I went into PC sound settings and set sound to go through my optical cable because that's how my PC is connected yours could be different. Then started game up noticed it still played through the PS V controller unplugged the USB cable then re-plugged in and sound went to proper output and has stayed that way since,

No, I'm not using a controller. I had to go into my sound settings and turn off spatial sound to hear the voices. I fixed the subtitles in the game settings.
