What the heeeck guys. Yesterday the game kept crashing, now with the patch doesn’t even launch 😭😭🤬

Same error here on arch linux. There is no official way to download the libraries (dll's) so I'm downloading the game on windows, and will try to copy over the dll's over to my Until Dawn installation. I will let you know if that fixes it

winetricks vcrun2015

oh i forgot its arch on steamdeck

try glorius eggroll proton. there are some fixes in this protonversion to run games that didnt run with normal proton.

Okay, I manually replaced all the libraries and it fixed it. Everything works now. Also MCNacho's "solution won't work. Proton already install's microsoft libraries, and the game wasn't even missing those. The game was missing some of Sony's own libraries,

Sorry, I just saw the replies. If you are still looking for a solution here ya go: Since you can't download the libraries separately, you'll have to download the game on a windows computer or virtual machine. Than go to ProgramData and copy the folder "Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc" over to the same folder in the games compdata. (in this case ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compdata/2172010/pfx/drive_c/ProgramData)

Yeah, they said in the patch notes that they fixed some issues on the steam deck which is obviously Linux.

What does this even mean? This response is all over the place.

Do you still have this issue? If so re-download the game. If that doesn't fixes it for you, try my solution, and that will work 100%

I'm still having this issue, I've reinstalled the game 4 times and I'm still getting the error, i have the game installed on my pc but i want to play it on my steamdeck. i cannot find any of these folders for the life of me
