Game breaking bug in chapter 9!!!

It was a fantastic game in 2015! And i could not wait for it to get a remake, played for 8 hours straight, and i loved it so much in 2024 again! but the game have a game breaking bug in chapter 9 at the sanatorium, where you need to pass a window that will trigger a cutscene, but it does not happen in my game, so now im stuck in the second to last chapter :(

i have a game breaking bug in chapter 5 with mike in the sanatorium. can go through walls but can´t continue. rip save game.
Thats a real 70€ experience. wow sony fy !

I can't progress after that window at the end of Chapter 9 and my game was updated.

I've found a solution! Turn off your steam cloud backups. Open up your until dawn save file in a hex editor. Then ctrl + f Shovel. Delete a bunch of the lines next to where ever it mentions the shovel. I deleted maybe 5-10, not all of them. On starting the game again, it took me to the beginning of Sam's portion, and I took a different route to get to the sanatorium, bypassing the broken window completely.

If able could you tell us the location of the save files? Having trouble finding it

I just encountered this bug. You just need to go by touch and open the door on the right, after opening a cut-scene will appear.

Found the save file and thankfully it fixed the game; It's under Documents > My Games > Bates > Saved > SaveGames > Numbered Folder > SaveGame

fixed it using another method:
1- download https:// /mh-nexus.de/en/downloads.php?product=HxD20
2- find file (Doc-My Game- Bates -SaveGames- *idSteamNumber*-SaveGame0)
3- Open file with HXD
4- FInd "CallforwardSamSaveMikeSan" and delete this code.
After restarting the game, climb onto the rock and go down into the cave. The game will continue without problems.
