Crashing on Startup

My game keep crashing while compiling shader, i'll never see main menu. i'm above requirements, game on SSD, latest nvidia drivers, rtx 4090. i don't know... any help?

Ok there is some problem with DX12 video resolution, if you had this problem add on command line -dx11 to play without problems.

Waiting for a patch.

Same problem here. Though my hardware is pretty old.

-dx11 command line argument worked for me, instantly skipped past shader compilation. But now it has the same issue Tsushima did on day one, the PSN sign-in is broken.

So I’ve been going through this problem and I found the solution. You absolutely need to update the bios of your motherboard. I just did that and managed to get the game running normally in dx12

Update your motherboard bios and you’ll be good !

i still don't believe how is possibile, but you found the solution. i've updated bios of my asus mobo ( z790 gaming wifi II) to the latest and now it works with dx12

Newer BIOS improves stability of certain Core i7/i9 CPUs.
