Cannot stat a game - says cannot create a save slot!

When it goes to main screen, i can select either load a game or create a new save slot

doesn't allow me to create a new save slot and so i can't start the game

anyone know a fix?

Yep having same issue. Can't start a new game. Signed into PSN though. Tried all fixes that are posted at the moment. Soooo frustrating that I can't even play the game right now. Guess I gotta wait until a patch or more people post stuff about this issue.

I was able to fix this issue. If you are logged into a PSN account log out, log back in and input the numbers you get manually. Got to the main screen this way.

Tried this, worked once exited the game, came back, back to square one. Game not working. Can't start the game. Also PSN overlay no longer works so I can't sign in or out now. When I try to access overlay it just give me an error message about PSN severs or something. 56 minutes of no actual playtime tryna get this ♥♥♥♥ to work. Crazy that I never had issues like this with God of War Ragnarok or Ghost of Tsushima.

If you do this, you cannot save a game

no matter what i do cann't either start the game as cannot load a save or if i log out and then do, i can play the game but i can't save

To be honest, I haven't been actively looking for fixes since earlier yesterday. I'm just over it at this point, tired of trying. I'm waiting for patches now since that might be my best bet.

Also, the save and load issue you're having, that's foreign to me since I never even made it PAST the main menu yet lol. Absolute disaster.

Wanted to post an update… my game FINALLY works! I’m on chapter 3. I re-installed it today and to my knowledge, there was like a really small patch update much earlier or something, so that must’ve been what fixed the issues I’ve been having. But the main thing is, I’m able to play my game finally and I am enjoying the hell out of it! I’m not having as many performance issues as others are posting. There are in fact, some audio issues but very limited and other graphical glitches here and there, Frame rates do dip here and there but aside from all of that it’s still very much playable. I’m still getting 90 and over 100 frames in the vast majority of areas. So far, the only places that frame rates did drop to Like 20 to 30 frames was in one of the bedrooms in the lodge, but it all evened itself out after.

After 11 days of not being able to play this game I found the answer to this. Don't know how safe it would be for my PC though. I went to this path on my Windows 10 machine: Settings - Update & Security - Windows Security - Virus & Threat Protection - Manage Ransomware Protection - Uncheck Controlled Folder Access. I found that allowing Until Dawn from this screen only works for a moment then I get the same message of the game not saving my progress.
