What's up with the lighting and atmosphere?

I just saw a comparison video between the original and the 2024 versions.

While graphically speaking the new version is indeed better, the original's lighting and atmosphere made up for it, something that in the remaster they completely ruined....at least based on the footage that I have seen.

Lighting is cranked up: while in the original it was dark, now it is sunny.
Wind effects are significantly toned down.
Shadows significantly changed, creating a completely different atmosphere. Good example at 12:45

I wouldn’t say it is sunny, I’m intrigued to see how it plays out, because at the time they all arrive if I remember correctly, the sun is setting, so this lighting probably fits in a lot better, but it really does depend on how the game plays and the scenarios that they’re in.

As you see when Beth is walking around outside, there is still a darkness atmosphere, so it seems to be more situational than just completely dark from the moment the game starts. I could be wrong though, like I said, it just depends on how the game plays out.
