Is this game scary? Or more slasher?

I know it has slasher deaths, but is the gameplay actually feel "scary" like a horror game or is it more just focused on death moments and keeping characters alive/dead?

Like do you feel tension? Are their jump scares, etc? I like all these things and the last game I played (only) of this company was The Quarry which was definitely not scary at all and I don't feel it was trying to be.

Just wondering what type of vibes this game has.

This is the best of them all. It is scary and tense, would make a solid horror film.

This game is not by any means a slasher. It's an interactive movie. One of the best.

This ain't scary at all, it's just a story of a bunch of dude and duedetes getting pranked, the non funny ones.

It's better than the Quarry or anything else they made after this. All the actors and voices are solid too.

its not just your average jason vorhees slasher killers, theres more to this game than just a slasher. because its almost the exact same as the original, it will have that good scary vibe (i dont like how they reduced the blue lighting tho)

Ya I'm not sure if visual changes like that are intentional or not. I noticed with a LOT of remakes that have visual but subtle coloring in the original versions that get lost in translation in remakes. sometimes this is on purpose but often its because they don't realize it was an artistic choice for the game because they werent the original designers.
